Remarks

Selenite is the clear transparent form of gypsum.  Like celestite, selenite is a sulfate mineral (calcium sulfate, CaSO4∙2H2O)

  • Most of the selenite that we've found occur as small, shale laden crystals.  However, we have a few relatively large pieces.  One of these is the impure piece shown below.
