  • Collection:   Memphis Pink Palace Museum.  We must thank Ron Brister (Curator) and Lynn Harrell, Jr. (photographed the specimen) for allowing us to show it.
  • Formation:  Found in float (presumably from the Ripley Formation)
  • Location:     Union County, Mississippi.

Age of the piece of shell

  • This specimen is lower Maastrichtian in age (~69 mya).
