  • Another member of the Mackerel Shark family

Stratigraphic Occurrence

  • Monmouth Group, Severn Formation of Maryland
  • Midway Group, Littig Formation (Paleocene) of Texas (probably reworked)
  • Navarro Group, Kemp Formation of North Texas
  • Navarro Group, Escondido Formation of South Texas
  • No reports, but it probably occurs in the basal Navarro Group, Neylandville Formation of North Texas
  • Upper Taylor Group, Upper Taylor Marl (Bergstrom/Marlbrook Formation) of North and Central Texas

 

Age

  • Serratolamna serrata (Agassiz) ranges from the late Campanian Stage to the late Maastrichtian Stage (~71-65 mya).
