  • "Crow Sharks" (extinct group)

Stratigraphic Occurrence

  • Washita Group, Pawpaw Clay of north Texas

  • Washita Group, Weno Limestone of north Texas

 

Age

  • Squalicorax sp. Welton & Farish occurs in the Mortoniceras (Angolaites) drakei (Young) and Mariella (Wintonia) brazoensis (Roemer) zones of north Texas, latest Albian into (possibly) the earliest Cenomanian Stage (~97 mya).

  • Weton & Farish acknowledge that this may be a described species from the Eastern Hemisphere.
