Menuites oralensis Cobban & Kennedy, 1993

  • Location:     Fall River County, South Dakota

  • Menuites oralensis Cobban & Kennedy is very similar to its predecessor, Menuites portlocki complexus (Hall & Meek).  However the shell of M. oralensis Cobban & Kennedy is more compressed, and the ribs are denser and finer.

Age

  • According to Cobban & Kennedy (1993, see ref below), Menuites oralensis Cobban & Kennedy is found only in the Baculites scotti Cobban Zone.
