Canadoceras mysticum Matsumoto, 1959 Remarks -
We would like to thank Ray Graham, an experienced Nanaimo Group collector, for correcting the identification. -
Ray informs us that the form and preservation indicates that this is C. mysticum (Matsumoto) from a now "extinct" shale quarry west of Nanaimo. -
He sent us photos of Canadoceras yokoyamai, C. newberryanum, and C. mysticum from Matsumoto (1959, see ref below), and our example is clearly C. mysticum. -
Thanks! General Info Synonyms (older names and misidentifications in the literature) Stratigraphic Occurrence Age Geographic Occurrence (not an all-inclusive list) Remarks For identification and descriptions, see: -
