Subtorcapella defayi Vermeulen, 2002

  • Location:     Vallon de Saint Martin, Escragnolles, Alpes Maritimes (06), southeastern France

  • Subtorcapella differs from Barremites in having numerous sinuous ribs appearing on the edges of the flanks.

  • Subtorcapella defayi Vermeulen occurs in the Kotetishvilia compressissima zone, Lower Barremian Stage (~121 mya).
