Stratigraphic Occurrence

Thalassinoides has been interpreted as decapod crustacean burrows:

  • Austin Group, Atco Limestone of north and central Texas, as one example.

  • Other occurrences have been reported (from the Taylor Group, Wolfe City Sandstone of northeastern TX, for example).

 

Geographic Occurrence

Here are just a few Texas localities:

  • Dallas County, TX

  • Ellis County, TX

  • Navarro County, TX

  • Rockwall County, TX
