Stratigraphic Occurrence

  • Trinity Group, Upper Glen Rose Formation of Central Texas.  It may extend down into the lower Glen Rose.

 

Age

  • Tapes decepta (Hill)occurs with Tapes bakeri Whitney in the upper part of the Glen Rose Limestone, putting it in the Hypacanthoplites comalensis (Scott) zone of Young (upper Lower Albian, ~108 mya).

  • Coryell County
