Stereocidaris hudspethensis Cooke occurs at about the Fort Worth Limestone-Denton Marl level, which places it in or around the Mortoniceras (Angolaites) lasswitzi (Young) Zone or lower part of the Mortoniceras (Angolaites) wintoni (Adkins) Zone, very Late Albian Stage (~98 mya).
