New Ammonite Publication to Appear 2008 PDF  | Print |  E-mail
The latest: Ok, we have 95% of the figures and graphs done, and are on the writing phase of the book. It will probably appear early to middle of next year.

Hey everyone! No, we haven't disappeared since last June (last update to site). By strong demand, we've been urged to create a PDF version of the ammonites section since the web pages are not particularly printer friendly. This is a huge project that will include badly needed corrections/oversights, new ammonite contributions, biostratigraphy, and more detailed descriptions (and other requests from the viewers). It takes time, but the wait is well worth it, as it will make the site a more reliable source of information on the Cretaceous Period, and it will be a professional style publication that we'll provide to everyone for FREE! To expedite getting it on the site, the e-publication will be divided into a geological/stratigraphic section and a systematic paleontology section. The systematic paleontology section will appear first, and the web pages will also be revised to reflect the new style. We've gotten some feedback about some incomplete sections (from the dinophiles mostly). Sorry about that. We're ammonuts, so we've decided to hammer this group out first. The other sections will be improved/updated as we get to them, with the goal of creating PDF's for these sections as well. Thanks for bearing with us!
